American Airlines refreshes Main Cabin snack lineup

American Airlines’ refreshed complimentary snack lineup includes Biscoff cookies, Goldfish, Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies and Peterson’s savory and sweet snack mix

American Airlines is refreshing its complimentary inflight snack lineup, bringing Main Cabin passengers more sweet and savory options during beverage service.

The updated selection will begin appearing on select flights in early October, according to an August 26 news release. The lineup includes passenger favourites Biscoff cookies and Goldfish, along with new additions from Tate’s Bake Shop and Peterson’s.

Morning flights will continue to feature Biscoff cookies, a familiar option for passengers and a popular pairing with Lavazza coffee. Goldfish will also be offered in the morning, giving passengers a sweet-and-savory choice earlier in the day.

Later in the day, passengers will continue to have Goldfish available, while also being offered Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies and Peterson’s savory and sweet snack mix.

American said the refreshed lineup was guided by passenger feedback and testing, with the airline looking at how passengers snack throughout the day and how small touches can shape the Main Cabin experience.

“Small details can make a meaningful difference in the travel experience, especially the familiar touches customers look forward to throughout their journey,” said Heather Garboden, Chief Customer Officer at American Airlines. “As we looked at our snack offerings, we wanted to take the time to get this refresh right by listening to customer feedback and understanding what customers value most.”

Garboden said the new lineup brings together familiar favourites and new choices in a way that feels elevated and enjoyable.

The complimentary snack refresh continues American’s broader focus on improving the inflight experience. The airline has recently announced premium dining enhancements, including centennial-inspired inflight menus and new California wines on board.

American said snacks will rotate over time as it continues to listen to passenger feedback and respond to preferences, with more choices expected in 2027.

Across American’s network, passengers will soon have more variety to choose from when the beverage cart moves through the cabin, whether starting the day with coffee and a Biscoff cookie or choosing a sweet-and-savory option later in the flight.
