Kaelis has introduced the next-gen Rotus 3 Business Class coat hanger to improve cabin operations. Already adopted by several airlines including Air Côte D’Ivoire, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, the re-engineered hanger transforms a traditional onboard accessory into a high-performance operational tool.
Designed to streamline crew workflows and enhance the premium passenger experience, the hanger replaces temporary paper tags and handwritten labels with an integrated three-wheel mechanical selector. Cabin crew can instantly dial in a passenger's exact seat number during boarding, ensuring fast garment identification and virtually eliminating misplaced coats upon retrieval.
Compared to earlier iterations, the product line highlights a clear evolution in onboard operational efficiency and sustainable design. The original Rotus 2 introduced basic mechanical seat identification using a two-wheel system, but was limited to simple numeric seat codes and retained a heavy, full-frame plastic build. The Rotus 3 advances this concept by incorporating a patented three-wheel selector (two digits and one letter), allowing seamless tracking across modern, complex seat grids on both single- and twin-aisle aircraft, while also adding anti-slip silicone pads for better garment hold. Building directly on that technology, the Rotus 3 removes the traditional lower horizontal bar and optimizes the hanger's internal reinforcing ribs; this reduces raw material consumption and product weight, significantly increases packaging density for lower transit emissions, and maintains full structural durability without sacrificing the core three-wheel tracking functionality.
