Back to Long Beach: Looking ahead to IFSA Global EXPO
IFSA Global Expo 2024 is taking place at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center in Long Beach, California, USA from October 28 to 30.
The event will bring together more than 110 airline, rail, caterer and key supplier members for two and a half days of exhibits. Attendees can sit in on panel discussions at the shared APEX/IFSA Thought Leadership stage and also engage in networking opportunities on the show floor and at evening events.
Looking ahead to the EXPO schedule
IFSA Global EXPO will open on October 28 with a CEO keynote address, sponsored by Thales in LBCC Room 104. This is followed by a lunch sponsored by Panasonic.
The first panel is entitled "Using Fashion & Design to Promote Sustainability & Showcase your Brand." The session will be hosted in the Hall A Innovation Pavilion.
Day one of IFSA Global EXPO 2024 will conclude with a welcome reception sponsored by Linstol. The reception will take place in the evening in LBCC Hall A.
Day two will begin bright and early with an Airline Breakfast sponsored by Panasonic before the exhibition hall officially opens.
The first panel of the day on the Though Leadership Stage is “Addressing Sustainability for Inflight Services & Catering."
This session will feature confirmed panelists Gregoire James, Commercial Director, International Aviation Waste Management Association (IAWMA), and Paul Mills, Head of Inflight Services, Virgin Atlantic.
This panel will be followed by "Chef Demonstrations – Taste the Trends," featuring Chefs Helping Chefs International and Chef Sam Choy.
The third and final day of IFSA Global EXPO 2024 will commence with the exhibition floor opening at 9:00 am. The first panel of the day “Operational Sustainability for the Onboard Services Industry” will look at sustainability initiatives in onboard services. Panelists include Olivia Stoll, Flying Food Group, and IAWMA's James.
The final panel of the IFSA Global EXPO will take place in Hall A of the Innovation Pavilion, during the late afternoon. The presenters for the session, “Revisiting Onboard Offering – Increasing Ancillary Revenue & Minimizing Waste,” are yet to be revealed.
APEX/IFSA Awards
The APEX Awards Ceremony Reception is scheduled to take place on the evening of October 30, followed by the Awards Ceremony. This event is co-sponsored by gategroup and Thales. The ceremony reception will take place in the LBCC Room 104 Foyer with the ceremony to follow inside Room 104.
