Blanke textech unveils advanced textile laminated cabin panel at AIX 2026
The TE-PAC concept integrates a high-quality textile surface and is laminated directly onto a lightweight honeycomb composite panel
Blanke textech GmbH — a division of the family-owned Mattes & Ammann Group — has unveiled TE-PAC, an Advanced Textile Laminated Cabin Panel developed in close collaboration with Airbus and Diehl Aviation. The product marks the group's formal entry into the aerospace interior segment, unveiled at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany, last week.
TE-PAC takes a different approach to textile finishes. Instead of wrapping the panel, the textile is laminated directly onto a lightweight honeycomb composite. The result is a single, continuous surface: no joints, no folded edges, no interruption of the design. The panel stops being a background and becomes a design element in its own right — a canvas for airline branding, a lever for premium cabin differentiation and a more pleasant tactile and acoustic environment for passengers, the company said in a statement.
The performance result is reduced textile waste, faster installation and lower manual labour translate directly into CAPEX savings for cabin integrators, while the textile layer itself contributes to acoustic damping, the company said.
"This premiere is the result of seven years of intensive development inside our group," said Anton Schumann, responsible for Board, Sales and Communications at Blanke textech. "We are proud to present TE-PAC at AIX — it is the right forum for a solution of this scope. At the same time, we have no illusions about the industry we are entering. The barriers in aviation are high. Certification, qualification and supply chain integration demand patience and sustained commitment. We have prepared for that path, and we are ready to walk it."
