Live hackathon coming to PTS in April
Dubbed the "Pax Tech Hack," the event will bring together teams of developers, designers and marketers from around the world to create solutions meant to improve the passenger experience – all in front of a live audience.
Several challenges, each dealing with issues affecting the travel industry, will be issued to the teams. The participants will then be given 48 hours to develop a practical concept that will "utilize new technologies to tackle issues and help shape the future of the global passenger experience industry," according to a press release from PTS.
Following the two-day development period, the teams will present their concepts to the judges with an audience of professionals from international airlines and rail operators looking on. The team selected as the winner in each challenge will be awarded a €5,000 prize.
Archana Sharma, Exhibition Director, said in a press release: “Pax Tech Hack is an exciting opportunity for dynamic developers to put their skills to the test and prove their creativity to key industry experts from around the world – it really is a fantastic stage for those looking to really impress the passenger experience market and of course to win a cash prize! We hope this competition will bring a whole new level of interest to what is already set to be the most jam-packed Passenger Technology Solutions show yet.”
Pax Tech Hack sponsors will be provided with a unique opportunity to help shape the challenge and be a part of the judging panel. Interested companies can contact Rameem Mohammed for more information.
Registration will be open until April 1 and the event itself will take place from 5:00 pm local time on April 2 until 4:30 pm local time on April 4. For more information including terms and conditions, click here.
