LATAM's new Premium Economy superior cabin class offers premium services inflight, such as a blocked-middle seat for more space and privacy

LATAM Airlines Group has announced that its superior cabin class, Premium Economy, is available on all national and international flights within Latin America operated by Airbus A320 family aircraft starting March 16, 2020.

The cabin class offers premium services at the airport and inflight, including priority check-in and boarding, a differentiated onboard service and a blocked-middle seat, providing greater space and privacy.

LATAM will be the only carrier to offer a premium service across its entire network of 145 destinations in 26 countries and five continents, equivalent to 1,280 daily flights. Premium Economy is available on short- and medium-haul aircraft and Premium Business is available on long-haul aircraft, including 787, 777, 767 and A350.

Once implemented, the airline will offer two cabin classes on short- and medium-haul aircraft: Premium Economy and Economy. Passengers in Economy will continue to have the option to select LATAM+ seats - which offer increased space and reserved overhead bins - on most flights.

"As part of our commitment to offering more options, flexibility and personalization to serve all journey types, the introduction of Premium Economy will provide the possibility to choose a superior service on all our flights,” said Paulo Miranda, Chief Customer Officer at LATAM Airlines Group.
