Singapore Airlines (SIA) has teamed up with COMO Shambhala, part of the COMO Group, to introduce wellness-focused cuisine on select flights. The program will commence in the second half of 2019.

According to a press release from the airline, the menu will include seasonal and sustainable ingredients used in a style of cooking that aims to "inspire the palate with memorable and delicious flavors, marrying healthy eating with pleasurable gastronomy."

These co-developed dishes will gradually be made available in SIA’s Book the Cook service, and a new wellness menu featuring specially curated dishes will be introduced. Onboard amenities and inflight entertainment created in partnership with COMO Shambhala may be introduced in the future.

Yeoh Phee Teik, Singapore Airlines' Senior Vice President Customer Experience, said in a statement: “SIA is fully committed to the continuous enhancement of our customer experience. We are proud to be announcing this partnership as it reaffirms our dedication to the holistic wellbeing of our customers."

Olivier Jolivet, CEO of COMO Group, commented: “It’s an exciting moment for the COMO Group, as this collaboration marks the coming together of the world's most awarded airline and COMO’s passion for holistic wellness and nutritious cuisine that has been at the heart of our brand offering since the beginning of COMO Shambhala and COMO Hotels and Resorts."
