Alaska reveals Russell Wilson aircraft

By Rachel Debling

Flight 682 from Seattle to Denver was the first route to bear the new Russell Wilson livery

On Friday, September 7, Alaska Airlines revealed its new 737-800 Russell Wilson livery, flown in celebration of the NFL's regular season opener and Seattle Seahawk's beloved quarterback.

Passengers at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport were encouraged to don blue for a tailgate-inspired party at the airport's C gates where they were provided with food, the music of a live DJ and a custom photo booth. On board, guests of Flight 682 to Denver were surprised with party favors on their seats, courtesy of the airline.

Alaska Airlines will also be granting early boarding on Seattle-departing flights to customers who wear a Wilson jersey from now until the end of the season.

Natalie Bowman, Alaska Airlines' Managing Director of Brand and Marketing Communications, said in a statement: "I love putting on my No. 3 jersey for the first game of the season. At Alaska, we're excited to show our hometown pride, support our quarterback, and send fans to Denver in true football fashion."
