As of September 5, the Lufthansa Lounge in Munich Airport (MUC) is home to a new to-go snack station, offering passengers with lounge access drinks and snacks in a self-service area.

Called "Delights to Go," this section offers guests one of three culinary boxes via an interactive user interface: “Classic” (eg. a tuna wrap or Greek salad), “Balance” (eg. a sprout sandwich with pear and fig mustard or a quinoa ginger salad) or “Local” (eg. a Munich sausage salad). A sweet or savoury snack, fresh fruit and water is served alongside the guest's choice, and coffee, tea and a variety of juices will be available to accompany the snacking options.

The packaging has been specifically designed for on-the-run eating: the food selection is dispensed into an ergonomically-placed output compartment, and the beverage choice can be placed into the box's built-in holder.

This new offering was developed following a field test at one of Lufthansa's Frankfurt Senator Lounges. The testing phase for the new catering option will last for six months.
