ANA Holdings Inc., the parent company of All Nippon Airways (ANA), will invest in the tour guide-matching platform Huber., the company announced last week.

Huber. is an online platform that matches tourists in Japan with locals who can offer guidance on what to see and do.

Yoshiaki Tsuda, Vice President, ANA Digital Design Lab, commented: "ANA is proud to showcase the beauty of Japan. This investment in Huber. will help us highlight Japan's embrace of 'omotenashi,' or hospitality. At ANA, we continue to enhance our quality of service and look for additional ways to better serve all of our customers' needs."

To keep pace with the increasing number of tourists choosing Japan as a destination (with up to 60 million annual visitors expected by 2030), ANA wants to expand its hospitality services, Tsuda said.

ANA won't just be investing money in Huber it will also be investing time by having its employees listed on the platform as "Friend Guests." This will provide additional value to its customers, and data from visitors will help the company determine travel trends and predict areas of growth.

Huber. will also be added to ANA's Travel Planner Website to help elevate its customers' travel experiences.
