LSG Sky Chefs to cater LATAM domestic service in Brazil
LATAM Airlines has awarded its domestic catering business in Brazil to LSG Sky Chefs increasing its average daily flight servicing totals, with additional slots planned for 2022
LSG Sky Chefs will retain its existing business with the carrier in São Paulo (GRU) and Fortaleza (FOR) for another three years. The expanded partnership will mean additional operations in São Paulo (CGH), as well as both of its stations in Rio de Janeiro (GIG and SDU). In total, LSG Sky Chefs will cater an average of 140 daily flights for 2121.
Both CGH and SDU will be operated using strategically situated jump-off stations (operational bases focused on last-mile logistics and selected packing activities only) that will be replenished remotely by LSG Sky Chefs’ principal production units.
“This represents a true milestone for the company in amplifying its footprint in Brazil, particularly in CGH where it currently does not have a presence,” said a release from LSG Sky Chefs.

The preparations for the launch of the classic airline-catering activities at the new stations (CGH, GIG and SDU) have already begun, but an official start date has not been determined yet.
