Flying Food Group caters historic SIA flight
Singapore Airlines has tapped Flying Food Group EWR to cater the world’s longest non-stop flight: approximately 9,000 nautical miles between Newark and Singapore.
Service between the two cities launched October 12. Catering each 18-hour flight involves loading three meals, plus snacks, per passenger.
The new flight marks the U.S. debut of the A350-900 ULR. Singapore Airlines has configured the aircraft for 161 passengers, with 67 in Business Class and 94 in Premium Economy.
Flying Food Group also services Singapore Airlines at JFK and SFO. The airline has been a Flying Food Group customer since 2002.
