Flying Food Group opens third Hawaiian kitchen
Honolulu International Airport (Daniel K. Inouye International Airport; HNL) and Kona International Airport (KOA) are FFG's other two Hawaiian locations. The catering company has a total of 21 kitchens in its network, stretching from Hawaii to New York City's JFK.
The Lihue kitchen’s July 16 debut was preceded by a traditional Hawaiian Maile Lei ceremony, according to a statement from Sidney Ho, Flying Food Group's Hawaii State GM.
The launch customer for FFG's LIH kitchen is Hawaiian Airlines (HA), with two flights daily between Lihue and mainland America. Nicolas Rondeau, Flying Food Group's Executive V.P., Airline Sales, noted in a press release that the company also services 21 HA flights at HNL, and daily flights from KOA.
