Delta releases upgraded TUMI amenity kits
LE LABO lotion and lip balms are featured prominently in the new Delta One kits
Delta Air Lines has debuted its new TUMI amenity kits, featuring products from the artisanal fragrance brand LE LABO.
The kits, made possible through partnership with Buzz, will be available to Delta One passengers and are distributed without the standard plastic wrapping as part of the airline's initiative to reduce single-use plastics on board. The airline noted in a recent press release that this move alone will divert 30,951 pounds of plastic from landfills in a year, equivalent to the weight of one Delta CRJ-200 jet.
Passengers flying Delta One will receive a TUMI sleep mask, a LE LABO lotion and lip balm, a hand cleanser, dental kit and socks.
"Delta and LE LABO share a passion for connecting people and places through personalized experiences," said Ekrem Dimbiloglu, Delta's Director — Onboard Product and Customer Experience, in a statement from the carrier. "That passion, along with LE LABO's dedication to the highest standards of quality, make it a natural choice in our efforts to create delightful moments throughout the travel experience for our customers."
Plant-based products from LE LABO's Body-Hair-Face line will also be available in more than 50 Delta Sky Clubs later this year.
At the same time, Delta announced plans to release new kits for its Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin long-haul customers on select international and domestic flights. The packaging on the Main Cabin and Delta Comfort+ kits will feature real snapshots from customers that were shared with the airline via the #SkyMilesLife campaign.
"These elevated offerings will complement the industry-leading service that Delta people are known for. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed with customers' needs in mind," added Dimbiloglu. "From a rejuvenating line-up of skincare products to help customers decompress, to small touches like a new hand cleansing towelette — these updates are a direct result of listening to our customers to understand what they value most and what would make their inflight experience even better. No matter where you're sitting, we're providing more reasons than ever to look forward to traveling with Delta."
Delta Premium Select customers on select flights will receive a cleansing towelette, MALIN+GOETZ lip moisturizer, a sleep mask, socks and a toothbrush and toothpaste within their kit. Main Cabin and Comfort+ kits will include ear plugs, a cleansing towelette, a sleep mask and dental kit.
