Qatar introduces new Oryx Kids Club kits
Plush toys, activity packs and specially designed meal boxes are part of Qatar Airways' Oryx Kids Club On-Board Children's Programme launch, featuring the superhero characters of the Oryx Kids Club.
The series of heroes, designed to "inspire and excite children when they fly," according to a release from the airline, was first introduced in March. Young guests on Qatar's ultra long-haul routes will spend their travel time with the critters of Oryx Kids Club: Orry and Orah the Oryx and their friends Kamil the camel, Faaiz the falcon and Farrah the desert fox. Long-haul flights will roll out the program as of July, and short- and medium-haul routes will welcome the gang beginning in September.
Salam Al Shawa, Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications, said in a statement from the airline: “At Qatar Airways, we always seek to enhance the travel experience of our passengers of all ages. We especially want to ensure that flying is as enjoyable as it can be for children and families. These new special new toys, amenity packs and meal boxes featuring the Oryx Kids Club super heroes will ensure that our youngest travelers are entertained from the moment they board the aircraft, alongside our dedicated children’s channels on the Oryx One entertainment system.”
A loyalty program for children between the ages of two and 11 will also be launched in the near future. The Oryx Kids Club Loyalty Programme will provide Qatar passengers with value-added benefits, plus the ability to earn Qmiles and earn Qpoints.
