Lufthansa Dream Collection comes to Business Class

By Rachel Debling

Lufthansa Business Class passengers will experience better slumber with new sleep and comfort products

Lufthansa has introduced a new series of sleep and comfort items in the Business Class cabin of their long-haul (10-and-a-half hours or more) flights to and from South Africa, Latin America and South America as well as the U.S. West Coast.

The Lufthansa Dream Collection includes a pillowcase, large blanket and padded mattress topper by German bed manufacturer Paradies. The mattress topper, with a top made of 100-percent cotton and a terrycloth underside, encourages air exchange to prevent excess heat accumulation. A special filling in the blanket and pillow also provides heat release. As a sign of its devotion to becoming more environmentally friendly, the airline opted for a paper band around the blanket in lieu of traditional plastic packaging.

In addition, Lufthansa passengers in Business Class on qualifying flights that span the night will be provided with a new sleep shirt by Van Laack.

Over the course of the coming months The Dream Collection will be rolled out over all of Lufthansa's long-haul flights. Beginning in June, the collection from Germany will be added to select Asian flights; other routes will introduce the new series in fall 2018.
