Family travel made easy with TAP and skysupply
Addressing the needs of families traveling with infants and young children, TAP Air Portugal and skysupply have introduced two new amenity concepts that aim to ease the tension surrounding this commonly stressful situation.
The image-based design of their latest baby-focused amenity kit features an animated comic plane, TAP’s latest mascot, making it perfect for the airline’s youngest passenger age group. The mascot was redesigned specifically for this launch.
“Our goal was to produce amenities which are adapted to the special necessities of babies/infants, and at the same time, reflect the airline’s corporate identity in a playful way,” noted Wolfgang Bücherl, Managing Director at skysupply, in a December release. The product, Bücherl went on to explain, is both environmentally friendly and extremely hygienic. The interior compartment designed as a net and stores several various items: a small stuffed toy plane, a feeding spoon and washable bib.
The partnership also produced an amenity kit for families with children six years of age and older, which uses the same mascot-based visuals as the infant kit. This more mature set is packaged in a sporty gym bag and contains entertaining travel must-haves, such as color pencils, a coloring book, card game, socks and dental set.
The December release on the launch noted: “The parents will appreciate the items and the children will not only be excited about this present in general, [but] they will also enjoy showing off their new belongings during their vacation and back at home at school. At an early age, this could be the beginning of a positive, enduring mindset towards the TAP brand.”
