Stelia's OPERA seat offers room for a 20-inch monitor

Stelia Aerospace yesterday announced the launch of its new Business Class passenger seat OPERA designed for single-aisle aircraft.

Described by the company as “Full Flat, Full Access, Full Privacy” Business Class seat, Stelia says the OPERA is the widest full-flat bed available on single-aisle, with increased foot space for sleeping comfort. It can accommodate a 20” monitor screen and can be outfitted with a fully integrated door. Extra capacity includes a closed amenity stowage and a laptop stowage zone. Its large meal table is stowed under the cocktail table.

Other features include adjustable armrests and ambient light. Stelia says ‘OPERA’ boasts a simplified design, for weight and cost optimization as well as easy installation and wiring of screens.

“Particular attention has been given to the interior trimmings of each seat with soft and warm materials, smooth mechanism and smart ergonomics, for a tailored and interactive passenger experience,” said a release from the company.

“With ‘OPERA’, airlines operating single-aisles on transcontinental routes can offer their customers the outstanding level of comfort they can find on wide-bodies,” said Thierry Kanengieser Vice President Cabin Interior at Stelia Aerospace. “Combining design and efficiency, this brand new seat is a major step forward for our industry, creating an enhanced passenger experience and high added value for airlines”.
