Pitch Aircraft Seating appoints contract manufacturer

Pitch Aircraft Seating Systems announced today it has appointed Causeway Aero Ltd in Northern Ireland as contract manufacturer in a move to increase capacity and provide a scalable operation to cope with the rapidly growing demand for the company’s economy aircraft seating.

Pitch specializes in fixed back economy seat for single aisle aircraft like the A320 and 737. Today, in Europe, the fixed back seat is the seat a popular choice for low-cost carriers.

“We have a great product in a buoyant market and our decision to appoint Causeway Aero as contract manufacturer, given their team, systems, certification and new manufacturing facility, puts us in a highly competitive position to support the increasing global demand for our products,” said Gary Doy, CEO of Pitch Aircraft Seating Systems.

The PF3000 is the latest model from Pitch, is a lightweight offering, flying since early 2018 under its 16g (C127b) certification.

Causeway Aero, based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland and offers a range of services from engineering design, analysis and development to supply chain management and assembly and recently opened a new 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility to service their multi-sector clients.

Pitch will be exhibiting at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg next week with Causeway Aero highlighting their many capabilities. Both companies will be on Invest NI’s stand, 3UA11 in Hall B3 Upper.
