For the first time, Polish airline LOT has selected Recaro Aircraft Seating to equip its Boeing 737-800.

The first of nine shipsets with the BL3710 economy class seat will be delivered to LOT in eight months, said the company. In that time, a total of 186 BL3710 Economy Class seats will be produced for LOT. Rafał Milczarski, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, confirmed that delivery of the aircraft fully equipped with Recaro seats is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.

At a joint event with Milczarski, Dr. Mark Hiller, Chief Executive Officer and Shareholder of Recaro Aircraft Seating highlighted: “We are very proud of this first order from LOT. Especially when you have a Polish production site for aircraft seats and now for dress covers as well, an order from the national airline represents an outstanding vote of recognition in our performance.”

The BL3710 economy class seat from Recaro Aircraft Seating weighs less than 10 kilograms and fully meets Recaro’s exacting quality standard. With numerous equipment options, the seat can be adapted to individual airline requirements. A tablet holder and various comfort features are available with the BL3710, enabling the aircraft seat to be deployed for both short- and medium-haul routes.
