In the first quarter of this year, Pitch Aircraft Seating Systems secured the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) ETSO C127b (16g) certification for the PF3000 seat.

Following on from the C39b (9g) approvals the previous year, the new designation allows the PF3000 to be installed in high density configurations with full head injury criterion (HIC) compliance. The seat is designed for single aisle Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

“After a punishing 16g HIC test, our dummies were bruised but still in working order,” said the company.

An A320 (16g) ship set was being prepared to leave Pitch's manufacturing facility in the UK last week.
