New VP - Maintenance and Engineering for Hawaiian Airlines

Beau Tatsumura

Beau Tatsumura is Hawaiian Airlines' new Vice President for Maintenance and Engineering. In this role he will oversee the operations of HA's 54-aircraft fleet to ensure its performance, quality and reliability, according to an April 20th press release from the airline.

Tatsumura has been with Hawaiian since 2014; his most recent role with the company was Managing Director of Maintenance Operations. Prior to his time with the airline, Tatsumura spent 18 years in leadership positions at Aloha Airlines and later held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at Aeko Kula, Inc. He also served in the 100th Battalion 442D Infantry Regiment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Jim Landers, Senior Vice President for Technical Operations at Hawaiian, said in a statement: “Beau’s leadership and extensive experience will allow us to remain at the forefront of aircraft safety and operational performance as we continue to grow our fleet and network."
