Thales InFlyt Experience appoints new CEO
Philippe Carette has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Thales InFlyt Experience, a provider of inflight entertainment services that reach more than one million international airline passengers each day, according to a July 24 press release from the company.
Carette will be replacing Dominique Giannoni, who held the position for the last five years and will now be taking on a new role within Thales. Carette will lead the company's strategic corporate transformation initiatives and steer its connectivity and IFE portfolio's digitization.
Carette possesses more than 30 years of aviation industry experience, including time spent as Thales' head of Electrical Systems business and vice president and managing director of the Commercial Avionics unit, as well as a degree in engineering from the Institut polytechnique de Grenoble in France.
“Philippe is a veteran of the aerospace industry and a proven leader in shaping strong businesses,” said Thales Avionics Executive Vice-President Gil Michielin about the appointment. “His expertise in innovative advanced technologies will also help drive our continued digital transformation and long-term growth strategy.”
Alan Pellegrini, CEO of Thales USA, also commented: “Philippe’s focus on customer success makes him an indispensable partner for airline customers. He brings a global perspective and unwavering commitment to excellence in execution and customer service.”
