Ecoinno zero plastic solution

Ecoinno H.K. Ltd. (Ecoinno), a pioneering green biotechnology company based in Hong Kong Science Park, has introduced its patented GCM® material—a 100 percent plant fiber-based, fully biodegradable solution, designed specifically for the food and beverage industry, particularly for coffee shops and cafes. Ecoinno’s packaging is free from chemicals or toxic coatings while maintaining properties that outperform conventional plastics.

Some of the key benefits and functionalities of GCM® material include it being Plastic-Free and Non-Toxic as well as withstanding temperatures from -196°C to 220°C, keeping drinks and meals fresh and safe for consumption.

“Our solution eliminates harmful plastics which pollute the environment and ensure consumer safety by addressing concerns of microplastics in the food supply to humans,” Ecoinno tells PAX International.

Other benefits include:

  • Enhanced Coffee Taste: Pure plant fiber cups preserve the true taste and aroma of coffee without chemical interference from traditional laminated paper cups.

  • Strong Barrier Property: With an Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) of 1 ml/m².24hr, the packaging effectively preserves food freshness, reducing spoilage and waste.

  • High Performance: The lightweight, oil-resistant materials provide optimal protection for food items.

  • 100 percent Biodegradable: GCM® materials easily integrate with food waste, regenerating clean energy and minimizing environmental pollution.

Ecoinno also notes that using GCM material packaging can create a positive brand perception.

“Our solution enhances your brand's image, reflecting positively on your company’s commitment to ESG,” the company says. “Customizable, sustainable packaging highlights your commitment to conservation, building trust with consumers who prioritize authenticity.

Ecoinno aims to provide its customers with a unique selling proposition, citing sustainable packaging as a competitive edge by meeting the growing demand for eco-friendly products.

“We believe our zero-plastic solutions can significantly enhance your offerings and align with your ethical and sustainable mission. By choosing our innovative green technology, the company can make a meaningful environmental impact by reducing waste and conserving natural resources, positioning your brand as a responsible leader in the industry,” Ecoinno says.

The supplier will exhibit at the World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) in Hamburg next week at Stand 1F84.
