Envibe brings Liplid to market as alternative to plastic cup lids

Envibe, a supplier of onboard catering products to airlines, highlighted its Liplid product at IFSA Global EXPO. The cup lid is designed to reduce single-use plastic and improve inflight beverage service.
Liplid lids are made either from a mixture of bamboo and bagasse or from pure wood fibers, both fully recyclable. The lids use roughly 25 percent less material than other fiber-based lids and are 100 percent plastic-free, biodegradable and recyclable.
The Liplid concept began in 2016 when inventors Håkan Löfholm and Lars Bendix, frustrated by spills and burns while drinking on the go, envisioned a safer and more sustainable drinking experience.
Envibe supplies airlines with onboard catering products and shares that Liplid is part of its effort to offer practical, sustainable alternatives for inflight service.
