British Airways serves up turkey roast for holiday season
British Airways' passengers can enjoy a holiday menu starting November 23
British Airways is introducing several special menu items and experiences onboard this November to celebrate Thanksgiving. Beginning November 23, passengers on long-haul flights to and from the United States across all cabins will have the choice of a festive main course and dessert.
In its press release, British Airways said that passengers in First and Club World will enjoy a traditional turkey roast with all the trimmings. For dessert, they’ll be served a classic pumpkin pie with nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger spices, a pumpkin and walnut cake or a pumpkin-flavoured cheesecake.
Passengers in World Traveller Plus and World Traveller will also be able to indulge in the traditional turkey road onboard. Their dessert options will include pumpkin pie, gingerbread mousse or a spiced pumpkin and white chocolate mousse.
In celebration of both Thanksgiving, there will be a variety of special treats available in the British Airways lounges at London Heathrow. This includes serving pumpkin and butternut squash soup and pecan pie in its Concorde Room and turkey and smoked ham pie in its First and Club lounges, starting on November 23.
“We wanted to go that extra mile to spread some joy over the festive season, both on the ground and at 35,000 feet,” said British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, Calum Laming.
The airline has introduced new World Traveller main courses, including new hot light bite breakfast options on all shorter inbound flights from the US to London Heathrow and London Gatwick. British Airways has also introduced Johnnie Walker Blue Label XOrdinaire, a luxury icon of blended Scotch whisky to its First cabin, specially chosen by the airline’s Master of Wine.
The announcements of Thanksgiving celebrations onboard and in British Airways’ lounges come after the airline wrapped up its Diwali festivities earlier this month.
