AIX 2027 returns to Hamburg with focus on retrofit, cabin lifecycle and the intelligent cabin

By AIX in partnership with PAX Tech

AIX 2027 takes place at Hamburg Messe from April 6 to 8 April, co-located with the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) and preceded by the Passenger Experience Conference on April 5

The countdown to Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) is on. Returning to Hamburg from April 6 to 8, the world's leading event dedicated to aircraft interiors will bring together the companies, people and solutions shaping the future of the cabin.

AIX 2027 takes place at Hamburg Messe from April 6 to 8 April, co-located with the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) and preceded by the Passenger Experience Conference on April 5.

AIX 2027 is set to welcome thousands of visitors from across the global aircraft interiors community to Hamburg Messe, with more than 400 exhibitors already registered. Confirmed exhibitors include Collins Aerospace, Safran, Airbus, RECARO and Panasonic Avionics, alongside new faces LATECOERE, Clayens, Akkodis, Alabama Department of Commerce and Kestrel.

The 2027 event will build on last year’s 25th edition celebration, which welcomed more than 12,500 visitors over the three days of the show, including representatives from across 185 airlines, and 93 first-time exhibitors.

For 2027, visitors can expect an even broader mix of established industry players, emerging companies and fresh ideas across the exhibition floor, with a growing focus on retrofit, cabin lifecycle and the intelligent cabin, the November 3 press release said. With aircraft delivery backlogs putting greater emphasis on getting more out of existing fleets, exhibitors including J&C Aero, Astronics and Diehl Aviation will showcase solutions that help airlines refresh and extend the life of their interiors, from refurbished seating and reconfigurable components to connected systems that make maintenance more predictable.

Connecting the cabin
From increasingly sophisticated inflight entertainment systems to high-speed connectivity and personalised digital experiences, IFEC is playing a major role in how airlines differentiate their onboard offering. The IFEC Zone at AIX 2027 will bring together an expected 75 leading suppliers, showcasing the technologies shaping the next generation of connected cabins. Panasonic Avionics, Viasat, RAVE, Bluebox, Burrana, FlightPath3D and AirFi are among those already confirmed.

Strategic opening to the week
Passenger Experience Conference (PEC) returns to Hamburg Messe on April 5, opening the week ahead of AIX and WTCE.

The conference will begin with a high-level opening plenary, setting the scene for the discussions and ideas that will shape the week ahead. Its program is built around four key themes: “Cabin 2035: The Experience Economy”, “The Digital Sky”, “Human by Design” and “Intelligent Innovations.” These will explore how technology, evolving passenger expectations and commercial priorities are influencing the future of the cabin.

Senior industry leaders will share how their own experiences have shaped their approach to today's aviation market, supported by the latest benchmarks and research. The aim is to give attendees practical insight they can take back to their own businesses, whether that means a fresh perspective on an existing challenge, evidence to support an investment decision or an idea to explore further.

Networking breaks, roundtable discussions and the Welcome Party, sponsored by RAVE, will also give attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas and build relationships before the exhibition floors open. Since launching in 2012, PEC has become an established starting point for the week.

More to explore across the show floor
CabinSpace Live, sponsored by Thales, AIX's dedicated conference program, will run across all three show days, with panels and case studies delivered on the exhibitor floor. Covering topics including regional market outlooks, aircraft orders, accessibility, sustainability and connectivity, the program will offer visitors the opportunity to hear directly from the people shaping the industry and explore the wider trends behind the innovations on display.

AIX 2027 will also shine a spotlight on the impact of design across the aircraft cabin, exploring how creative thinking continues to influence the way passengers experience, use and interact with the space around them. A new design-focused initiative will bring fresh perspectives from across the industry to the show floor, with more details to be revealed in the coming months.

Archana Dharni, Event Director of AIX, said, “AIX brings the entire aircraft interiors community together, giving people the opportunity to explore the latest products and technologies, share ideas and learn from others facing the same challenges. With airlines balancing the need to modernise their fleets, manage costs and deliver the passenger experiences people expect, those conversations and connections are more valuable than ever.

“We are looking forward to welcoming back familiar faces alongside new exhibitors, new perspectives and some exciting additions to the show. Whether visitors are looking for specific solutions for their next project or want to discover what's coming next for the industry, there will be plenty to explore at AIX 2027.”

With strong early commitment from returning exhibitors, AIX encourages companies to secure their stand space now. Registration to attend the show is now open via the AIX website.
