Jiatai showcases comfort experience at AIX 2026

Jiatai at AIX 2026
Hubei Hangyu Jiatai Aircraft Equipment Co., Ltd. (Jiatai) exhibited at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany, this week under the theme of "Comfort,” showcasing its latest range of aircraft seats and engaging in in-depth discussions and business talks with airlines, aircraft manufacturers and industry partners from around the world.
Making a mark on the global stage
As a leading Chinese enterprise with international airworthiness certification capabilities for onboard equipment and a proven track record of supplying to major global commercial aircraft manufacturers, Jiatai returned to the AIX exhibition this year.
Centered on the core theme of “Comfort" the company highlighted its latest aircraft seat products covering both single-aisle and twin-aisle aircraft, with electric and mechanical adjustment options. These included the JT220B, JT220E, JT520E platforms, along with the upgraded electric business class seat JT220B Premium, the upgraded platform seats JT220B S and JT220E S, and a concept seat representing future trends – fully demonstrating the richness and diversity of its product portfolio and its relentless pursuit of passenger comfort.
Among them, the JT220B/E series– the company’s mainstream product line– is designed around the philosophy of “human-centered comfort,” serving as a highlight in the aviation industry’s green transition and passenger experience upgrade.
The JT220B/E series enhances comfort in multiple ways: providing lumbar, back and head support based on the natural curves of the human spine; increasing knee space and featuring breathable cushions, adjustable headrests and silent slide rails. The seats are also equipped with phone holders and multi-protocol fast-charging ports (USB-A/USB-C). Together, these details aim to deliver a quieter, more comfortable and more reassuring journey.
Commitment to environmental sustainability
In terms of environmental protection, Jiatai continues to pursue lightweight design for its aircraft seats, steadily reducing product weight to support energy savings and emission reductions in the aviation industry. At the same time, the company is actively developing green materials, exploring the application of eco-friendly solutions such as biodegradable tray tables and coconut-fiber foam cushions. Certification and application work has already begun in the retrofit market, putting green aviation concepts into action.
Deepening international cooperation, expanding market reach
At this exhibition, Jiatai not only showcased its latest products and technological achievements but also established communication channels with multiple potentia customers. Company representatives followed up on existing cooperation projects with visiting clients and held preliminary discussions on future collaboration opportunities, including new aircraft seating packages and seat retrofits, the April 17 press release said.
Backed by solid product quality and continuous technological innovation, Jiatai has made significant strides in the international market. The company has successfully partnered with VietJet Air, Air Arabia, Flyadeal, Ethiopian Airlines and others on projects involving the A321, A330 and A350. To date, Jiatai has secured cumulative orders for seats on more than 100 new aircraft, with production planning extending to 2030. Its products are supplied to Airbus and other major international aircraft manufacturers and airlines, steadily expanding its market footprint.
A Jiatai representative stated that the company will continue to focus on the commercial aircraft seat sector, increasing R&D investment, building its intellectual property portfolio, and further optimizing product structures.
"By staying rooted in high-end manufacturing with technological drive and sailing far with innovation, Jiatai will keep advancing the human-centered design and intelligent upgrading of aircraft seats around the core value of 'comfort' – refining every detail related to passenger experience, from support systems and adjustment functions to in-cabin interaction. The goal is to enable every traveler to enjoy a more pleasant and relaxed journey," the company stated.
