Haikou City, China, was the scene of the world’s first AI-supported professionals cooking competition with the Golden Knife Culinary Challenge in coordination with the Global Culinary Alliance.
Taking place in the shadow of the World Shiology Forum’s meeting at the Haikou Hilton, this creation of APOT Founder “Happy” Keerthi Hapugasteniya was presented and compared by APOT CEO and PAX International’s own Jeremy Clark and live-streamed around the world with up to 20 thousand viewers logging in.
Four short-listed teams from Russia, Vietnam, Egypt and China took part, with Team Egypt taking the title following a judging process performed by both human and AI judging technology.
“Happy” coordinated the event with GCA and was joined by judges from Sri Lanka, Russia, Vietnam, Australia and Egypt. The AI algorithms were managed by the GCA database in India.
