Speaking to PAX Tech, Lauren Costello, Executive Director, APEX says, “For 2025, we saw an opportunity to evolve APEX TECH in a way that deepens engagement and sparks more actionable insights.”

The format incorporates interactive workshops with traditional discussion panels, going beyond passive listening. To achieve this, the ballroom will be reimagined with distinct spaces for mainstage discussions and roundtable-style workshops. Participants will collaborate in assigned “boarding groups” to tackle real-world challenges, brainstorm and share key takeaways with the larger group.

Shaping the future

Four key pillars shaping the future of the passenger experience are the focus of this year’s APEX TECH event. These pillars – Inflight Connectivity, Media Content and the Supply Chain, Data Capture and Intelligence, and Ancillary and Passenger Experience Use Cases – reflect the aviation industry’s growing emphasis on digital transformation, personalization and revenue diversification.

“As airlines continue to evolve into connected, experience-driven platforms, these topics are more relevant than ever,” says Costello. “APEX TECH aims to address the technologies, partnerships and strategies that will define the next era of air travel.”

The event kicks off with the Ice Breaker Happy Hour on Monday night, followed by the Networking Reception on Tuesday night.

"APEX TECH stands out as a premier industry event dedicated to thought leadership and collaboration. While it has deep roots in inflight entertainment and connectivity, it continues to evolve—now drawing participation from adjacent sectors and stakeholders shaping the broader digital passenger journey," APEX Board Director Jonas von Kruchten tells PAX Tech.
