Diehl Aviation's first ever Supplier Awards ceremony
Diehl Aviation held its first supplier award ceremony on October 24, in front of 350 guests as part of the Diehl Aviation Supplier Day. The event was created to thank selected suppliers and express appreciation, honouring outstanding suppliers in six categories.
“The trusting and reliable cooperation with our suppliers is an important part of our success. We want to honour and celebrate this together,” said Johannes Bloch, SVP Procurement, Diehl Aviation.
The winners were chosen in a total of six categories. They were judged on approximately 20 criteria, from on-time delivery and product quality to sustainability aspects.
The 2024 winners are:

Newcomer: Al Badr Aerospace – Manufactures composite components, among other things and is a new supplier to Diehl Aviation.

Performance: T+H Metallwarenfabrik – The award was presented in recognition of the company's high quality and adherence to delivery dates.

Cooperation: Spedition Hütter – One of Diehl's longest-standing suppliers and stands out for the particularly high quality of its cooperation.

Technology: Robert Hofmann GmbH – Significantly reduced the weight and production costs of a component with a newly developed technology.

Sustainability: Jacob Formschaumtechnik GmbH – Received the award for a new, sustainable manufacturing process.
AKG contributed numerous ideas to the T.R.U.S.T. campaign, from which Diehl Aviation was able to benefit, the December 12 press release said.
The supplier award is part of Diehl Aviation's T.R.U.S.T. initiative, which was launched in February. With this campaign, the company is strengthening cooperation with its suppliers - an important signal, especially in view of the strong growth in the aviation industry.
“Only together will we be able to master the ramp-up in the aviation industry and overcome the challenges. We rely on close and trusted cooperation that benefits both sides,” said Bloch.
The next Diehl Aviation Supplier Day, including the presentation of the second Supplier Award, will take place in 2026.
