Pianfei Compositi produces Sanitary Walls for Stadler EC250 trains
Pianfei Compositi has begun operational activities for the realization of an order from Stadler Deutschland concerning the supply of Sanitary Walls for a batch of eight Stadler EC250 trains High-Speed Electric Multiple Unit (EMU).
The order to Pianfei Compositi involves the supply of Sanitary Walls for different types of gender-separated toilets which include unisex, reserved for ladies, urinal and personal toilets. Deliveries will take place over the next few months and will be completed by the first half of 2025, the press release said.
The EC250 High-Speed Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) developed by Stadler Rail Group, is the world’s first single-decker, low-floor high-speed EMU. The new trains are approved for operation in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy. The Stadler EC250 features a pressure-tight design with superior thermal and sound insulation characteristics. The train-sets are designed to cater to long distance rail transport. The EC250 complies with the TSI-High-speed regulations and meets the EN 15227 crashworthiness standards. It is designed with special emphasis on comfort and customer convenience for families, senior people and disabled passengers.

The news comes ahead of InnoTrans 2024, which will take place in Berlin from September 24 to 27.
