What's in store for InnoTrans in 2024
The global industry platform for transport technology, InnoTrans, is returning for its 14th edition this year. The show will take place from September 24 to 27; 99 percent of the display area is already booked, the press release said.
The show brings innovations and experts from around the world together to share innovations and solutions related to transport technology. At the event, attendees can expect to find the AI Mobility Lab, Hospitality Forum and the Railfluencer Festival.
“We are pleased to be able to present exhibitors and trade visitors with eye-catching innovations at this year’s InnoTrans, an event that always has its finger on the pulse of the industry. Be it for new trains, live demonstrations of electric buses, AI, the Career Boost, world innovations or the first Railfluencer Festival, it is becoming more diverse, digital and sustainable. Once again, InnoTrans underlines its importance as the world’s largest trade fair for mobility of the future. We can hardly wait for it to start,” said Kerstin Schulz, director of InnoTrans.
The event grounds cover almost 200,000 square metres and feature 42 halls, displaying everything to do with transport technology including Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Tunnel Construction, Public Transport and Interiors. At present, around 60 percent of confirmed exhibitors are from abroad.
Among them are 18 international transport companies such as Deutsche Bahn, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), China Railways, Polskie Koleje Państwowe (PKP), Turkish State Railways (TCDD), Etihad, SAR from Saudi Arabia, RTA from Dubai, Infrabel from Belgium, Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) and the Moroccan National Railways Office.
As well, 16 international industry associations are showcasing the economic strength of the industry in their countries. Ukraine will also be represented again with a combined stand at InnoTrans.

The AI Mobility Lab in the Public Transport segment in Hall 7.1a is a highlight of this year’s event. The area features companies representing AI, robotics, cybersecurity and data protection for transport systems. Exhibitors include Konux, the first AI scale-up offering genuine solutions for predictive maintenance, network capacity and traffic monitoring and planning for rail infrastructure management. Isarsoft is exhibiting an AI-based video analysis tool for planning, operations and security. Other exhibitors include DRAIVE GmbH, Nexterite, Tritem Microsystems GmbH, Ostirion and Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A.
Attendees can look forward to an informative supporting program, with a keynote speech by startup entrepreneur and cybersecurity expert Mirko Ross on the security aspects of new technologies. There will also be a daily guided tour of AI exhibits followed by a networking lunch.
The 2024 Hospitality Forum
The Hospitality Forum at InnoTrans addresses passenger comfort, entertainment and catering. The event is organized by the International Rail Catering Group (IRCG) and gathers experts who will discuss the importance of providing additional rail passenger services. The forum is a supporting feature of the signposted Travel Catering & Comfort Services segment in Hall 1.1 with around 15 exhibitors.

New to the event this year is the Railfluencer Festival, where attendees can network and get to know other industry professionals. The festival takes place on the morning of Friday, September 27.
At this festival, influencers and bloggers will have the chance to meet up with the influential names in the mobility sector. The program features brief lectures, photo sessions and networking opportunities.
