Networking Differently: Industry heads to Vietnam for APOT Asia

By Jane Hobson

Entertainment and dancing is plenty at APOT networking events

This year’s APOT Asia Networking Event, taking place in Danang, Vietnam, is set to kick off with a casual cocktail this Saturday. Hosted by Asia Pacific Onboard Travel (APOT), in conjunction with Tourism Danang and the Furama Beach Resort and Hotel, the "no-ties" event is all about reconnecting old friends and fostering new relationships.

As delegates make their way to Vietnam, PAX International is counting down to the exciting days ahead.

Preparing to network differently
Hosted all in a relaxed environment, Jeremy Clark, APOT CEO, tells PAX International the goal of the event is to cultivate relationships and share knowledge with industry peers through networking.

Since its inception in 2010, APOT has grown rapidly, largely due its unconventional take on the standard industry conference.

“We believe in connecting our members not just for business opportunities but also to foster personal connections and create a sense of camaraderie. Over the years, we have successfully brought industry individuals together, strengthening their relationships and taking their businesses to new heights,” says Keerthi Hapugasdeniya (HappyK), Founder and CEO of APOT.

One of the goals of APOT is to expand travel within Asia, encouraging industry partners to introduce travellers to lesser-known destinations.

“Currently, our organization is collaborating with numerous tourism organizations to expand travel to Asia’s untouched destinations and facilitate direct flights to these rural areas. We believe in the importance of connecting and promoting these hidden gems of Asia, offering unique travel experiences to our members and travelers alike,” says HappyK.

He continues, “We are grateful for the support of our valuable sponsors, who enable us to provide the best possible services and generate more business opportunities for their ventures.”

This year’s sponsors and co-sponsors for the event include Taste Vietnam, Danang Center for Tourism Promotion and happyKsolutions.

Delegates will be greeted warmly at the Welcome Cocktail Danang-Style hosted at the Furama Resort Danang at 6:30 p.m. on November 25.
