AIX Americas announces new buyer program

By PAX International

From September 10 to 12 at the return of Aircraft Interiors Expo, held this year in Los Angeles, organizers will launch its new buyer program, AIX Connect.

Qualified buyers from OEMs, airlines and tier 1 suppliers will take part in the program, designed to help key airline buyers meet exhibitors during the show. Participating exhibitors will be paired with procurement teams from seating manufacturers and OEMs such as Airbus, Bombardier, Molon Labe and Zodiac Aerospace and key airline buyers at the show to discuss business opportunities. Hand-picked VIP airline buyers will have the chance to benefit from increased networking opportunities while exhibitors will enjoy high-quality business connections matched to their product offering. Exhibiting seating manufacturers and suppliers of flooring, fasteners, air conditioning systems and lighting/LED equipment looking to build their business will be invited to participate.

Event Director Polly Magraw explained in a statement from AIX: “Networking is at the heart of our fall event – the sister exhibition to Hamburg’s spring AIX. As a truly international showcase for the aviation industry, not only will the event continue to support the evolution of the cabin interiors industry by promoting innovation, we will also facilitate business opportunities with leading airlines, OEMs and tier one suppliers.

“Our VIP guests will find a wealth of inspiring new products and essential business connections that they need to give them the competitive edge in the competitive aviation industry, while our exhibitors will be introduced to key buyers and decision-makers that they need to take their business to the next level.”

Attendees can also meet with exhibitors showcasing the latest cabin innovations including Diehl Aviation, who will showcase its Air Refrigeration Unit (ARU), InnoLite Toiler Assembly and Space Optimised Lavatory. Tapis Corporation will present its durable fabrics for commercial, corporate and VIP aircraft. Botany Weaving Mill Ltd will showcase its range of aircraft seat fabrics, carpets and curtain fabrics currently used by over 200 global airlines. In addition, Aerofoam Industries, Isovolta, STS Aviation Group, Diab, Wencor Group and AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings are also confirmed to exhibit.

At AIX 2019, delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about the trends and challenges shaping the aviation sector at the CabinSpace LIVE Seminar Theatre. A host of leading industry experts will come together to share insights into the most prevalent trends impacting the cabin interiors industry. The full list of speakers and sessions will be announced in the coming weeks; watch this space for more information.
