AVICOOL’s cooling solutions help airlines, maintain safe, chilled food at altitude
AVICOOL has developed inflight cooling products intended to reduce reliance on dry ice for food and beverage storage. The company’s range includes the AVICOOL cool bag and reusable ice blocks, designed to fit within the limited galley space available onboard.
The ice blocks incorporate a color-indicator feature that signals when contents have reached optimal cooling, helping crew keep items below eight degrees Celsius. Additional inserts and plates provide visual cues that support airline staff in meeting food safety requirements during service.
AVICOOL’s solutions are already in use with several carriers, including British Airways. The company goal is to support safer and more efficient inflight catering operations as airlines continue to adapt buy-on-board and food storage practices.
