IACOBUCCI unveils innovations to elevate premium classes

Lucio Iacobucci, President & CEO, IACOBUCCI HF Aerospace at AIX 2025
IACOBUCCI HF Aerospace returned to Hamburg this April to exhibit at both the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) and World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Expo (WTCE). The Company has been exhibitors at AIX since the first editions, and this year also participated in WTCE for the third time. PAX Tech sat down with Lucio Iacobucci, President & CEO, IACOBUCCI HF Aerospace, to learn about the motivation behind exhibiting at both shows and what the response has been like to the supplier’s product lineup.
“We wanted to concentrate on the equipment and promote the complete suite of products,” he tells PAX.
Iacobucci explains that the AIX booth featured the supplier’s galley inserts in different colours, including those in the Sintesis line, as well as a steam oven. The company is seeking a launch customer for the product which is in the qualification process.
“We make espresso machines, cappuccino machines, coffee and tea makers, trolleys, trash compactors and induction ovens,” he adds. “The response at AIX has been very positive; it seems like the market has been waiting for us to start the development of this kind of alternative.”
While the Iacobucci booth at AIX focused on the equipment itself, WTCE was an opportunity for the supplier to concentrate on food presentations, primarily using the Gusto induction oven.
“The WTCE side of the expo is a chance for people to taste the food and understand the capability of the equipment,” Iacobucci shares. “It is a different audience and that is why it is a trial that we have done.”
Looking ahead, Iacobucci says the company is looking to get more of its products onboard, specifically the Robusta coffee maker and Gusto induction oven for First Class.
“We really want to improve the quality of coffee and food in premium classes with these products,” he concludes.
