SIMONA Boltaron introduced the Horizons Collection at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) this week, an expansion of its TERREFORM® recycled material line, along with the debut of 4380, a next-generation FAR-rated material designed for premium aircraft interiors.

The Horizons Collection invites designers to explore a creative territory where sustainability meets storytelling, the press release said. Inspired by the natural world and centuries-old architecture, the collection evokes rich narratives of connection, beauty and exploration. It includes four micro-collections—Golden Sands, Island Blues, Arabesque and Forest Canopy—each featuring four new colours aligned with 2025 global colour forecasts. The collections are designed to inspire creativity while honouring the textures and tones of the world around us.

With this launch, TERREFORM, a recycled-grade material containing a minimum of 50 percent recycled content, now offers 22 total colour options, combining aesthetic flexibility withenvironmental responsibility—and the added ability to create custom shades.

“This collection is all about discovery—connecting designers with the beauty and creativity found in nature and around the world,” said Valerie Glover, Marketing Manager at SIMONA AMERICA Group. “Horizons is about more than colour—it’s an opportunity to tell stories through material and create elevated, meaningful passenger experiences.”

To further enhance the design experience, SIMONA Boltaron has also developed a series of opaque and translucent prints that serve as visual expressions of each micro-collection. These prints were created to spark imagination and showcase the company’s ability to bring layered, high-end material concepts to life—beyond traditional surfaces.

Also launched at AIX was SIMONA Boltaron 4380, a new premium Paragraph A-rated material (FAR 25.853 (a)) engineered to meet the industry's highest technical and sustainability standards. Lighter and more efficient than its predecessor, 4330, the 4380 offers:

  • Eight percent reduced weight to help lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions

  • 17.2ºF higher heat distortion temperature for improved performance

  • Strength and durability for tray tables and high-use applications

“4380 is the result of our continuous innovation and commitment to sustainability,” said Chris Corona, Vice President of Aerospace Strategy. “It reflects our technical leadership in performance thermoplastics and our vision to create materials that help our customers build more efficient, environmentally conscious interiors without compromising performance.”
