Airmont enhances onboard experience for Le Renaissance passengers

By Alex Preston

Airmont TV is now available to Le Renaissance cruise passengers

Airmont, a provider of onboard streaming solutions, has confirmed it has installed its Airmont TV on board the ocean cruise ship, Le Renaissance, operated by CFC - Compagnie Française de Croisières / Ambassador Cruise Line.

The ship had previously relied exclusively on satellite TV, but often found its routes encountered a loss of satellite coverage. To combat this, the company sought to ensure continuous television access via the internet, that also met appropriate digital rights management.

The IP-based Airmont TV has been in service since the end of October, offering five French channels and one Dutch channel, to all 600 cabins.

In a LinkedIn post, dated 22 November, Airmont revealed it had to date, recorded 2,000 hours of viewing, “demonstrating strong passenger engagement and confirming that the service is enhancing their comfortable and culturally rich journey.”
