FORMIA has been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal, placing the company among the top 26 percent of more than 150,000 companies assessed globally for sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates companies across 21 sustainability criteria spanning four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
“EcoVadis provides a globally trusted benchmark, and this milestone validates the real progress we have made in environmental sustainability, labour and human rights, ethical business practices, and sustainable procurement—while offering a clear path to go even further,” said Roland Grohmann, CEO and Managing Partner of FORMIA.
The EcoVadis sustainability ratings are grounded in internationally recognized standards, including the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, ILO Conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and ISO 26000. These evidence-based assessments offer companies actionable insights and a roadmap for continuous improvement in sustainability performance.

Sustainability takes center stage at WTCE
Earlier this month at WTCE, FORMIA brought its commitment to sustainability to life through a dedicated Sustainability Zone. The immersive experience guided airline partners through the full product lifecycle—from raw and reclaimed materials to finished onboard items—through a tactile, multi-sensory showcase.
The activation sparked meaningful dialogue on reducing environmental impact and demonstrated how innovation can enable immediate positive action.
A standout element of the FORMIA exhibit was a proposed Circularity-as-a-Service framework, designed to help airline partners embed circular economy principles into their amenity and comfort programs. This approach aims to reduce waste, recover value, and move the industry toward a more sustainable, closed-loop model.
“We believe sustainability is not a department—it is a mindset embedded into everything we do,” said Freddie Rollason, Senior Sustainability Manager at FORMIA. “The EcoVadis medal is a proud milestone, but it is just one step in our broader journey toward long-term impact.”
