Plane Talking Products unveils plastic-free air sickness bag
Plane Talking Products (PTP) Limited has revealed its brand-new European-made 100 percent plastic-free airsickness bag.
"Typically air sickness bags are usually made with a plastic lining," explains PTP in the press release. "As part of [our] effort to help airlines on their journey to net zero, Plane Talking is taking a look across the board at products used inflight and trying to develop plastic free alternatives wherever possible."
The replacement product uses an innovative barrier coating that is defined as plastic-free by the European Union’s SUP Directive. It does not use fluorochemicals or waxes and is FSC, BfR and FDA compliant.
Furthermore, the 100 percent biodegradable bag is described as a mono-material, meaning unused bags are fully recyclable in the normal waste paper (PAP22) and fully re-pulp-able without the need for sorting or processing at the paper mill.
The crisp white or natural Kraft paper options both offer a great printable medium for airlines to fully promote their own ECO credentials.
