Plaza Premium Group has opened a new Plaza Premium Lounge at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, expanding its airport hospitality network in East Africa.
Located near Gate 6 in Terminal 3 International Departures, the 336-square-meter lounge accommodates 86 passengers and features dining, relaxation and business facilities.
The lounge's design draws inspiration from Tanzania's natural landscapes and coastal heritage, incorporating local cultural elements into a contemporary setting.
Following PPG's Proudly Local philosophy, the dining menu showcases traditional Tanzanian cuisine and locally sourced ingredients.
Offerings include Beef Mishikaki, garlic-ginger marinated skewers served with kachumbari, Kuku Wa Kupaka, chicken in a spiced coconut-yogurt sauce, and Mayai ya Mchuzi wa Nazi, boiled eggs in coconut curry served with chapati.

Sweet options include coconut and cardamom cake, Vitumbua coconut rice cakes and Mini Coconut Maandazi, alongside wild forest honey sourced from Tanzania's miombo woodlands.
The lounge also features dedicated relaxation areas, workstations, high-speed Wi-Fi, charging points and multi-faith prayer rooms.
The facilities are designed to accommodate business passengers, families and solo travelers, providing spaces to work, dine or relax before departure.
The opening supports PPG's expansion strategy in Africa as the company strengthens its presence in emerging aviation markets.
The Plaza Premium Lounge Dar es Salaam is open daily, with access available through advance online bookings or walk-in purchases.
