Plaza Premium Group launches Plaza Petit family program across global lounge network

Plaza Premium Group's new Plaza Petit family space, designed to make airport time more engaging for children
Plaza Premium Group has launched Plaza Petit, its first global family program designed to enhance the airport experience for families traveling with young children.
The initiative will debut at select locations in Hong Kong, Toronto and London before expanding across PPG's international network of airport lounges and transit hotels.
Developed to address the challenges of travelling with children, Plaza Petit introduces dedicated family-friendly spaces where young passengers can read, play and relax under the supervision of their parents or caregivers.
"Plaza Petit reflects PPG's ambition to transform airport hospitality through experiences that are both thoughtful and meaningful," Mei Mei Song, Chief Transformation Officer, Plaza Premium Group, said.
"By bringing together play, discovery, reading and family-friendly dining, Plaza Petit helps children feel engaged and at ease while enabling parents and caregivers to travel with greater confidence."
Encouraging learning through travel
At the centre of the program is a partnership with Room to Read, a global education non-profit focused on children's literacy and life skills that promote gender equality.
The collaboration supports five pillars of the Plaza Petit experience: Read, Play, Discover, Taste and Relax.
Each Plaza Petit location will feature a dedicated Room to Read Story Corner, offering a curated collection of age-appropriate books in multiple languages, with selections refreshed quarterly.
Young travelers will also have access to Room to Read's Literacy Cloud digital library, featuring thousands of culturally relevant storybooks in 48 languages.
Additional activities include travel-themed Your Destination Before Departure activity sets, coloring sheets, crayons and collectible destination stickers designed to encourage curiosity about different cultures.
The program also introduces a dedicated children's menu featuring balanced meals, specialized tableware, baby-food warming services and seasonal treats.
Family spaces feature light oak wood furniture with rounded edges, child-sized seating and interactive bookshelves, creating an environment designed for comfort and exploration.
"Through Plaza Petit, we are helping children experience the joy of reading while inviting families to recognize literacy for what it truly is: a foundation for learning, navigating the world and opening a lifetime of possibility," said Dr. Geetha Murali, CEO of Room to Read.

Expanding across international hubs
The program will launch in phases, with initial locations including Plaza Premium Lounges at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW), alongside an Aerotel location at London Heathrow Airport (LHR).
Future expansion is planned across several international gateways, including Dubai, Helsinki, Jakarta, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Muscat, Phnom Penh and Rome.
Additional phases will introduce the Plaza Petit experience at select lounges and Aerotel properties throughout PPG's global network.
Each location will also feature a donation point, allowing traveling families to support Room to Read's international literacy and education initiatives.
Through Plaza Petit, PPG aims to make airport dwell time more engaging for young travellers while providing families with a more comfortable and enjoyable pre-flight experience.
