Porter Airlines has released its 2025 Sustainability Report detailing growth, environmental, social, governance and economic topics

Porter Airlines has released its latest Sustainability Report. The report details Porter's ongoing sustainability programs and the dedicated efforts across key sustainability material topics. It also highlights the airline’s achievements, key projects and the teams behind the scenes.

Porter Airlines 2025 Sustainability Report covers all operations from January 1 to December 31, 2025 and includes environmental, social, governance and economic topics identified through its materiality assessment as significant to the airline’s stakeholders and activities.

The airline is reporting improved fuel efficiency intensity, alignment with the SASB Sector Guide and 4,788,067 pounds of jet fuel saved for 2025.

This was a year of significant growth and expansion for Porter; the airline launched 24 new routes and entered six new markets, including inaugural flights to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. It also continued expanding its existing network and presence at key locations, such as Toronto Pearson, Hamilton and Ottawa. To support its growing fleet, a 20,000 square foot aircraft maintenance hangar at Halifax Stanfield International Airport was leased in June 2025. Additionally, the airline’s total workforce increased to more than 4,000 team members.

Porter says it will continue aligning with the federal aviation climate action plan, participate in industry decarbonization efforts and operate as a responsible community member.

Michael Deluce, CEO, Porter Airlines, said, “This year’s sustainability report is Porter’s first to reference the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards as issued by the ISSB, along with improved metrics aligned with the SASB sectoral standards for airlines. These updates demonstrate our commitment to continually monitoring reporting standards and evolving our approach to communicating results. We also reviewed our sustainability governance structure and successfully implemented a new community support program. The latter resulted in the ability to more effectively review hundreds of applications and fulfill requests to assist with fundraising needs that aligned with our community pillars.”
