Jiatai earns Airbus Quality Champion Award at 2026 supplier symposium
Jiatai Aircraft Equipment receives the Airbus China Quality Champion Award at the 2026 Airbus China Suppliers Symposium in recognition of excellence in quality management and supply chain performance
Airbus has recognized (Jiatai) Aircraft Equipment Co., Ltd. with the Airbus China Quality Champion Award at the 2026 Airbus China Suppliers Symposium, honoring the seating manufacturer for excellence in quality management and supply chain performance.
Jiatai was the only supplier to receive the distinction at this year’s symposium. The award was presented by Dr. Sandra Bour Schaeffer, Senior Vice President of Cabin and Cargo Procurement at Airbus.
Airbus recognized Jiatai for its performance in product quality, delivery reliability, supply chain collaboration and continuous improvement.
Jiatai, which operates under AVIC Cabin Systems, has been listed on Airbus’ Approved Supplier List since 2016 and supplies passenger seating solutions for the A320, A330 and A350 aircraft families. The company said its products are currently installed on aircraft operated by multiple airlines worldwide.
According to the release, Jiatai’s operational goals focus on zero-defect manufacturing and 100 percent on-time delivery, supported by an end-to-end quality management system covering research and development, manufacturing, inspection, delivery and after-sales support.
In recent years, the company has expanded its intelligent manufacturing capabilities and digital quality management systems, introducing full-process traceability while deepening collaboration with Airbus on technical standards, quality improvement and supply chain coordination.
The award reflects Jiatai’s growing role within the Airbus supply chain ecosystem in China, where the supplier has established itself as a provider of Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class seating solutions for the commercial aviation market.
