Korean Air relocates to Frankfurt Terminal 3, opens new SkyTeam Lounge

The new SkyTeam Lounge at Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3
Korean Air is enhancing the passenger journey at Frankfurt Airport with its move to the newly developed Terminal 3 and the opening of a modern SkyTeam Lounge, effective April 24.
The airline’s relocation to Terminal 3 marks a shift to one of Europe’s most advanced airport facilities. Designed to handle up to 19 million passengers annually, the terminal introduces upgraded infrastructure, streamlined passenger flows and contemporary design. Korean Air’s check-in counters are now located in Area J, Zone 32 on the third floor, operating from three hours to one hour prior to departure.
Connectivity across the airport remains efficient, with the SkyLine train linking Terminals 1 and 3 in approximately eight minutes. Additional SkyTeam carriers are expected to transition to Terminal 3 over time, while partner airline Condor plans to relocate operations in summer 2027, further strengthening onward connections to key German cities including Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.

A modern bar area offers a selection of beverages
A central feature of the move is the new SkyTeam Lounge, situated on the fourth-floor mezzanine within Terminal 3’s non-Schengen international zone. The lounge is accessible to eligible Korean Air passengers, including First and Prestige Class travellers, as well as SKYPASS Million Miler and Morning Calm Premium Club members.
Spanning 550 square metres and accommodating up to 126 guests, the lounge is designed to support both relaxation and productivity. Amenities include panoramic airfield views, shower facilities, high-speed Wi-Fi, a soundproof phone booth, a dedicated quiet zone and an exclusive VIP area.
The lounge also introduces an elevated dining concept, offering freshly prepared local and international cuisine throughout the day. A live cooking station and digital menu allow passengers to order hot meals via QR code, while menus emphasize locally sourced ingredients and regional flavours. A curated selection of German beers and wines complements the offering.
Open three hours before the first SkyTeam departure and closing after the final departure of the day, the new lounge reinforces Korean Air’s focus on delivering a premium, seamless ground experience aligned with evolving passenger expectations.
