PAX Perspective Verified Airline Review: Bamboo Airways Business Class
In this Verified PAX Perspective Airline Review, PAX International Publisher Aijaz Khan evaluates Bamboo Airways’ Business Class flight QH 273 from Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Hanoi (HAN).

The first flight: I flew Bamboo Airways from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi onboard the airline’s A321ceo Business Class cabin. Flight time for this short-haul segment was approximately two hours, making it an ideal opportunity to see how the airline delivers a premium experience on a tight schedule.
Pre-flight lounge and boarding: Bamboo’s Business Class passengers are invited to relax in the lounge operated by SASCO, and it delivered exactly what was needed before departure. Amenities were plentiful, with a solid selection of food and drinks, reliable Wi-Fi and plenty of seating to eat, work or unwind.
When it was time to board, we headed to the gate where premium passengers were invited to board first and were greeted by cabin crew with a hot towel shortly after getting seated. The process was handled quickly and efficiently by the crew, setting a positive tone for the flight ahead.

Seating and interior configuration: The aircraft 192 seats. Arranged in a two-by-two configuration, there are eight Business Class seats separated from the Economy cabin by a curtain. I settled into seat 1F.
On board, the cabin felt clean, modern and well maintained. The seating was comfortable with generous legroom for a domestic flight, offering a noticeable step up from many regional competitors. The overall ambiance was calm and refined, reinforcing Bamboo Airways’ positioning as a premium-focused airline.

Inflight entertainment and connectivity: Bamboo Airways features seatback screens in Business Class, and the screens were a good size with an entertainment selection that was perfectly adequate. The airline does offer Wi-Fi access to Business Class passengers, so staying connected was still an option throughout the flight.

Seating was spacious and comfortable
Food and beverage: Inflight refreshments were served shortly after takeoff, with the crew wasting no time given the brief flight duration. Drinks and food were delivered efficiently and with care, followed by the full meal. Crew provided the menu on a tablet—this is the first time I have ever seen this used as an alternative to a menu card tucked into the seat.
The menu included French toast with caramelized peach, strawberry, honey and vanilla mascarpone. This was followed by Vietnamese steamed rice rolls with grilled pork or mixed glass noodles with chicken in sweet and sour sauce. The sides included yogurt and seasonal fruits.
The offering was well presented in bright white branded tableware. The branded salt and pepper shakers were a nice touch. The quality and taste exceeded my expectations for a domestic flight. It was another clear signal of the airline’s commitment to elevating the onboard experience, even on shorter routes.

The cabin crew were professional, attentive and genuinely warm. Service was efficient without ever feeling rushed, and the crew maintained a strong presence throughout the flight, ensuring passenger comfort and safety. Their hospitality reflected traditional Vietnamese service values, delivered with confidence and polish.

We highly recommend Bamboo Airways for an elevated inflight experience on regional trips.
