Infinite relaxation at PPF’s Infinity Room at HKG
This article is 4 of 5 in a series. PAX International Managing Editor Jane Hobson takes readers through a visit to the Infinity Room inside Plaza Premium First (PPF) at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), operated by Plaza Premium Group (PPG).
In November, I spent a week traveling through Hong Kong, Singapore and Nanchang, China for meetings and the APEX FTE Asia Expo where PAX International and PAX Tech served as media partners. The final stop on this memorable journey was the Infinity Room at Plaza Premium First HKG, located near Gate 1 in the East Hall.

Behind closed doors
After a brief tour of the lounge, I was guided toward the Infinity Room. As the grand double doors opened, I immediately sensed that this would be a serene and fitting final experience in Hong Kong.
Set at the back of the lounge, the Infinity Room truly feels like a lounge within a lounge—a refined, intimate space reserved for selected elite travelers. It was significantly quieter than the main lounge, with perhaps 10 guests in the room compared to a nearly full house outside.
The atmosphere is understated luxury: spacious lounge seating, rich textures, softened lighting and small, refined details that create a speakeasy-like mood. The gold vintage bar cart and paneled walls were particular highlights. The all-day menu blends local inspiration with Chinese and Western influences, and the quiet, secluded environment encourages complete relaxation. The only element that would enhance the experience further would be dedicated restrooms within the space.

The menu
The Infinity Room menu offers an elevated yet approachable selection of drinks, mains and desserts.
With a few hours before my flight to Toronto, I ordered the organic beetroot tartare with micro herbs, pickled onions and avocado mousse—a standout dish—and the Holiday Mood cocktail featuring London dry gin, vermouth, mulled spices, lime, caramel and tonic. For my main, I chose the plant-based porcini shepherd’s pie with mushroom gravy, which was deeply comforting. It paired perfectly with a glass of G.H. Mumm Cordon Rouge Brut Champagne.
The service was quiet, calm and intuitive. The servers were always available but never intrusive, maintaining the exclusive feel of the space.
After a week of meetings, socializing and solo travel, the Infinity Room felt like a genuine treat. I settled into a comfortable armchair, enjoyed my meal and cocktail, caught up on my Netflix binge and let the world around me fade away. It is an ideal retreat for leisure and business travelers alike seeking privacy, stillness and respite from the pace of airport life.

Elevated experience for elite travelers
Beyond the Infinity Room, Plaza Premium First offers a warm, inviting environment with elevated dining, premium beverages—including a signature Hong Kong Milk Tea welcome drink—showers, massage services and remarkably clean, beautifully designed restrooms that rival those of a luxury hotel. The main bar, a glowing golden curve, creates an inviting space to unwind before departure.
Additional services include baggage storage, complimentary food and beverage, charging stations, lounge chairs, Wi-Fi and shower facilities (charges may apply and availability may vary).

Final moment, lasting impact
The décor, thoughtful design elements and curated culinary program inside the Infinity Room reflect Plaza Premium Group’s mission to redefine airport hospitality.
The PPG team, including Whitney Fung from Global PR & Corporate Communications, helped transform the final airside moment of my trip into something truly special. Their care extended beyond the lounge experience when they arranged electric buggy transport to my boarding gate via the ALLWAYS brand. ALLWAYS provides VIP airport services such as meet and assist, buggy transfers and porter assistance. For someone wrapping up a busy week across three destinations, this seamless transition was genuinely appreciated.
After a week filled with standout moments—from returning to Hong Kong, to reconnecting with colleagues in Singapore, to visiting mainland China for the first time—the Infinity Room was the perfect finale. It offered a quiet pause to reflect, reset and prepare for the journey home.
In many ways, the Infinity Room encapsulates what exceptional airport hospitality should be: calm, personal, intuitive and memorable. As the last stop on PAX’s Asia tour, it left me refreshed, grateful and reminded of the power of a well-crafted travel experience.
