Plaza Premium Group has opened the second Plaza Premium First Lounge at the West Hall of the Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). Designed for the discerning traveller, this elevated lounge concept is set to transform the travel experience for globetrotters seeking personalized journeys. As visitors enter the lounge, they are immersed in a haven of tranquillity, with stylish furniture, calming colour palettes and curated works of art designed for a soothing ambience.
Second Plaza Premium First in Hong Kong
Located in the West Hall of HKG, the new Plaza Premium First lounge complements the original Plaza Premium First located in the East Hall, welcoming all departing and transiting passengers with exquisite culinary delights, personalized service and a sweeping 180° tarmac view. Inspired by the vibrant spirit of Hong Kong, the newly opened Plaza Premium First artfully integrates Hong Kong’s rich culinary heritage and artistic flair, featuring modern interiors, artworks, cozy seating and a stylish dining area.
Certified Halal cuisine
Plaza Premium First at HKG is now the first independent lounge to feature a fully certified Halal menu, combining global cuisine with Southeast Asian favourites and local dishes. The selection includes a spread of appetizers and desserts, where Chinese and Western inspirations come together.
The lounge also features an à la carte selection of gourmet main courses, each one a celebration of Southeast Asian flavors, reimagined for the discerning palate. Travelers can savor a menu of hearty breakfast options available until 11 a.m. daily including “Proudly Local” Cantonese Congee paired with Dumplings & Rice Rolls, local crowd-favourite A La Minute Scramble Egg & Satay Beef in Bun, full English Breakfast and more.
The all-day menu, starts at 11 a.m., showcasing sumptuous cuisines such as the signature favorite Vietnamese Duck Pho, a steaming bowl of broth, layered with rice noodles and slices of duck. Visitors can savor Thai-style sauteed spicy chicken rice with fried egg, featuring tender morsels of chicken stir-fried with bold Thai spices, served atop fluffy jasmine rice. A fried egg tops the dish, with a golden yolk and spicy, savory sauce. The popular fish ball noodle with the XO sauce & crispy fish skin is also available in the lounge; each bowl offers springy fish balls nestled in silky noodles, bathed in a rich, umami-packed XO sauce and topped with shards of crispy fish skin/ Vegetarian and gluten-free choices are also available to cater to all preferences.
To complement the dining experience, visitors can enjoy welcome drinks that incorporate local flavors, along with a selection of refined spirits, sparkling wines, house wines and cocktails on the Mobile Bar. The lounge also offers a range of non-alcoholic beverages including fresh juices, soft drinks and a wide selection of teas.
Celebrating masterpieces at Plaza Premium First
Vistiors to the new Plaza Premium First will be greeted by a gallery of world-renowned artistry with a curated selection of masterpieces by three legendary artists, including Zao Wou-Ki (趙無極), Chu Teh Chun (朱德群) & Zeng Yang (曾掦).
Internationally revered for his lyrical abstractions, the works of Zao Wou-Ki (趙無極), blend Eastern calligraphic traditions with Western modernism, evoking vast landscapes and poetic emotion. His presence in major museums and collections worldwide cements his status as a titan of 20th-century art. Chu Teh Chun (朱德群) is a master of color and movement, his canvases are symphonies of light and energy. His dynamic brushwork bridges Chinese ink painting and European abstraction, earning him acclaim in the world’s most prestigious art circles. The vibrant compositions of Zeng Yang (曾掦) capture the spirit of contemporary China, weaving together tradition and innovation. His expressive style and bold palette have made his works sought-after in both Asian and international art scenes, the press release said.
