ANA is introducing three varieties of Akkeshi Single Malt Whiskey onboard
To elevate the onboard passenger experience, All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced that it will offer sales of three varieties of the Akkeshi Single Malt Japanese Whisky–Suirei, Kūsui and Kokiake–from the "HOKUSAI NORTH COLORS" series, through its International Inflight Duty-Free Pre-Order Service.
According to the ANA press release, Akkeshi Distillery's "HOKUSAI NORTH COLORS" series was created from a unique concept: "What if Hokusai had visited Akkeshi?"
Boasting distinct flavors, aromas and hues, the three whiskies form a lineup expressing Hokkaido's landscapes and seasons through Hokusai's artistic lens.

"At ANA, we prioritize delivering exceptional in-flight shopping experiences. The inclusion of this distinctive Japanese whisky not only enriches our offerings but also proudly showcases the allure of Japan's rich culture and craftsmanship to a global audience."
Preserving Akkeshi Distillery's long-valued craftsmanship, the new series seamlessly blends whisky with art and culture. Each of the three whiskies will be released in waves, tentatively planned for July 1; September 1; and January 1, 2026. This schedule will allow collectors to gradually complete the set. Beyond the taste, these artistic products feature compelling visual design. Meticulously crafted, the packaging of each bottle, when aligned with the others, forms a complete image of Hokusai's renowned ukiyo-e print, "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" from the "Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji" series.
Products will be available via the ANA International Inflight Duty-Free Pre-Order Service, a streamlined platform that allows passengers booked on ANA international flights to reserve duty-free products in advance for effortless onboard delivery. Orders can be placed from twenty-second day of the month preceding the flight's departure, up until 11:59 p.m. Japan Standard Time (JST) three days prior to departure, regardless of departure origin.
By introducing the Akkeshi Single Malt Japanese Whisky "HOKUSAI NORTH COLORS" series, ANA reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the inflight shopping experience and elevating the global presence of Japanese whisky.
